Backgammon is believed to have started in Persia, eventually finding its way to Britain with the Roman conquest in the 1st century and was played by Emperor Claudius who even had his carriage equipped with a playing board! It became such a gambling mania that it was declared illegal under the Republic.
Playing on the history of the game, there are 6 visually pleasing, rich board designs; Egyptian, Roman, Medieval, Victorian, Modern and Classic.

So far the best board game app. Gives several choices and nice background visuals.
Every time I click to play online / multiplayer I kicked back to the main menu. Frustrating I enjoy playing against another person, as to just the computer.
Its the only game that doesnt hound you to buy stuff and actually lets you win.

No strategy. The guy who programmed did not know backgammon. I lost my money.
If youre going to release a new version, let it be worthwhile!
This version is much less appealing graphically and SO SLOOOOW!!!!!

The game would be great if dice rolls really were random. Ive played backgammon for 20 years and ive never seen so many "statistical anomalies".
Please update the online gaming area. Im not able to play against other player.
Played a few times. In one game the AI got 9 doubles in a row and they were the exact doubles that were needed. The next game the AI got 5 high doubles while peeling off, and the best roll for me was a 4 & 1.
Problem solved - Game has been deleted.
Have played over a 1,000 games. The computer has mostly fair dice rolls, which is a big bonus compared to Backgammon Gold, but play could be more challenging.
Edit: Have now played over 2,000 games. dice rolls are gettting more in favour of computer. Like 4 doubles every game? I would like to find a programmer that could program random rolls. Obviously technology still has not reached there yet.
Have now played over 3,000 games and AI cheats so much it is no longer fun. May have to delete this game. Doubles always appear when taking off the board.
I know the complaint about unfair rolls is endemic with almost all digital backgammon games, so why not be the first to generate completely random rolls?
