It has its flaws. I have games idle for over TWO WEEKS because players have not make their moves. The idle games should automatically expire after a week at most and points go to the active player.

I only wish that there was a Hard mode where the computer didnt cheat so much. The other modes are so easy, that they lack challenge. With the current programming, it is often difficult to know if one is truly developing sound strategy.
The biggest issues I have with the app are; 1) The app crashes on a regular basis, 2) The opponent (computer) throws between five and eight rolls in a row more often than not. Its actually predictable. I like getting a couple of rolls in a row every now and then. But when the computer rolls six, seven, eight or more times consecutively, thats really frustrating. On more than a few occasions, the computer rolled 12 times in a row, and 3) The computer almost always rolls exactly what it needs to take my pips. Generally I like this app and I play almost every day. Fix these bugs and the game will be more fun and fair.
I like the look and feel of this backgammon game. The computer is challenging to play.
What corrupted game!!!! I can predict the rolls which seems to go with the computer. I would like to have my money returned to me by the developers. If their so hard up to make a few bucks what sad case. Dont buy this game...
Last time I played I was white. Turned on yesterday and game made me black. I cant switch back. ☹️
They have too many commercials and you have to wait sometimes over two minutes I deleted it off my phone not happy
I hate how this game cheats. Almost all the reviews note how the game cheats. But those reviews look past it since it otherwise operates well. I cant look past it. Who wants to match wits with a computer that controls the dice throw and repeatedly always gives itself the roll it needs. Im removing this app today. I cant stand it any more.
The app developer has it set up to give the computer mostly doubles with high rolls and there is always a 1 in my rolls and they are low...not random...and no skill is involved...they have made a mockery of one of the best games so I mock them back in my own way. I wonder if the developer appreciates my mockery...
I thought this was a good game until I added the doubling cube because the AI on hard, is not lhard at all. The AI plays much better with the doubler on but it cheats once, you, double first. I have tried all kinds of experiments and if you do not double you can win, if you double it will roll three doubles in a row. Save yourself the frustration. It seems all the backgammon games are made by non gammon players and the AI math is the answer to making it harder, which is no fun.
The most recent update. Not a fan. The board sizing is all messed up. I dont like the toolbar on the bottom. Forfeit is gone. Newest update took away the option to just play the same game as you last played. Had to move my rating down to 1 star.
First, Ive got to tell you that the dice problems will NEVER be fixed. The developer wont even admit that theres a problem. So, how can you fix something that isnt broken. It still makes idiotic moves. As well as getting strings of doubles and lucky rolls. There, still, is no undo button for online play. Why wont they address these issues?
the graphics are great, the app runs well, and the dice rolls are ridiculous. on "hard" setting the computer just rolled 4 sets of doubles in a row, and grabbed every single exposed pip every time. as soon as you begin to remove pips the computer starts rolling itself doubles again. this game would be a lot more fun if the dice rolls reflected real randomness. hope updates will fix this issue, because many others are complaining about the same thing, and this could be a five star app with some tweaks.
December 19, 2015: computer doubles 11. Me, 2. Really. I SWEAR every time this game gets updated, the computer gets a ton of doubles. The last game I played, save one roll, the computer rolled all doubles from their "home" to move off the board. I played this game every day. Something needs to be done about these so called "random" rolls the computer gets. Update: it was fine for a while; now it is back to ridiculous amounts of doubles; rolling exactly what it needs to put me out, and against me getting back in for so many rolls it is almost not worth it to play. March 29, 2015; The game I just played in "hard" mode. Doubles (me) 3s, 3s; (iPad) 4s, 1s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 2s. I took a break from playing for a few months. Thinking it would finally update so the computer wouldnt have a string of doubles or roll exactly what it needed. I shouldnt have held out hope. Very disappointing. February 4, 2916; iPad-5 doubles in a row. What. Ever.
Game seems to roll exactly what it needs to either send you to the bar or keep you from gammoning the computer. No longer a fan. Game logic is rigged.
The game is rigged. The more I beat it the more it cheats by rolling doubles and winning first rolls. Computer consistently wins 80-85% of the first rolls. In thirty games the computer will roll 6x6s 7/10 times at the end of the game and has rolled more than twice as many 6x6s than me and has rolled 35 1x1s to my 10!
I dont see any benefit to this feature when playing an online opponent. Better instructions to describe any benefit of the doubling cube wouldve helpful. Add text chatting.
I mostly play Avery Deucy on here because of what other players have noted regarding doubles and backgammon. There is no strategy considered for the computer and this is really evident in acey deucey. There is no attempt at mid level board control. The AI appears to be sending pieces down range by only considering pip count. This is always a losing strategy in acey Deucy. Because of this I beat the game nearly 99% of the time. All I do is get 5-6 consecutive spaces covered somewhere in the middle and the AI is stymied, even with late game double rolls. However my biggest complaint for the AI is not keeping a last piece in reserve, "the sweaty." Typically most decent players will not bring there last piece out until they are "assured" of victory. This allows you to make a late game strike when your opponent is bearing off. Ive seen this used lots of times to snatch victory from the jaws of certain defeat. I would say this strategy is arguably one of the more interesting and the most often used in acey Deucy. So in leaving it off, its apparent that programmers merely programmed the AI to follow the rules and did not provide even the basic level of strategy to the AI. So if thats true what are you left with when trying to go from easy to hard as a programmer? Answer: skew probability towards the AI. Im giving 3 instead of one because this is the only real attempt at acey Deucy Ive seen. Its my favorite way to play!
Game is a joke. I play player to player on line. I have a winning record. I win some and lose some. Rolls are almost predictable. Not random at all. Almost never a surprise once the winning hand is established. Ever wonder why there never opening roll ties and re-rolls? Because they are not random. Thats why. Dont waste your money.
Its amazing that the computer can roll that many doubles one after the other and theres no way to change the rules or settings. If you dont mind loosing because of computer bias then its a good way to be a time waster...
